So i have this suzuku thunder Seems that after i have been riding at speed for a while and go to neutral even with the clutch pulled in and throttle back to start the rpms seem to stay up about 2400-3200 when it should be at 1200-1400, should i get my carb "greased" or should i greas the trhottle cable. anyone here ever used a Suzuki en125 ( aka suzuki thunder or Suzuki Yes)

I have one of these bikes to save the VFR from commuter duties. Haynes do a manual for this bike and it covers everything you need to know.

should i get my carb "greased" or should i greas the trhottle cable.Carbs "greased"? That's a new one on me.
Start by warming up the bike and trying to adjust the idle screw before doing anything. It could be just set too high but make sure the bike is fully warmed up. Then I would check the throttle cable. Make sure it is tensioned properly and moving freely from the grip down to the carb. Grease that if needed. If that doesn't fix it then pull the petcock to make sure it's clean. If it's dirty then you will need to clean that as well as the gas tank and carb (most likely). These are all problems I had with my wife's 86 Honda Rebel when I first got it but the layouts will be basically the same.
Good luck. :fing02:
Stuck choke cable? or the choke lever engaged?
Many many moons ago I took my brothers CX out on a cold night, hit the motorway shortly after. Coming of the motorway, the bike stalled. Could not get the bike started. Got to a phone booth (no mobiles in those days). Told my brother I probably broke it.... He came out, had one look at the bike..... closed the choke lever and said "try again"....
