help with 86 VFR750 rockers........

Hi guys

okay, i'll try to explain what's up here

I'm rebuilding a 1986 VFR750 and the PO didn't put the spring plates or the small little "u" shaped springs back on the top of the rocker arm assembly.............

I also happen to have a set of heads from a 1986 VFR700..........

what i'm stuck with is 2 things:

1. Where the hell could I get these plates and springs? everywhere online and honda dealerships don't have them.......

2. Can i use the rocker arm assemblies and the cams from the 700 on the 750 and that would solve my problem?

3. are they even neccessary on the 750?

hey seb.......just got around to checking them out yesterday and the spring and retainers aren't on the heads at all..........i THINK they were also on the 700 heads.........did you happen to remove them and not put them in the box by any chance, or am I an idiot and just not finding them?

Mark, I only removed what I needed to from the heads, to allow me to pull them off the case. Everything that did have to come off, went back on with the fasteners loosely snugged. What you got in the box is how Honda delivered it...
