Help with part number

I believe that I am missing 2 parts on my '02 VFR. If I look under the Upper Cowl, I see two inner panels on each side (item 8 and 9 at Bike Bandit: http://www.bikebandi...m2789#sch100212). These two panels are just hanging there and vibrate against my forks when traveling at high speed :biggrin: It looks as though another piece of plastic should fit into the groves on this panel and connect to the fastener holes in the lower fairing. I went to Honda and in their infinite wisdom; they ordered me new maintenance panel covers and connectors which are already there! Do any of you know if there should be a part here and if so what the # is for it?

Those two inner panels should join with the upper cowl and the lower cowl via tabs and the annoying plastic clips.

Ah, I see. The previous owner took a hacksaw to that lower cowl right above that middle nut that connects it to the lower fairing�on both sides�Genius! I imagine they snapped one side off while removing the fairing s at some point. I guess that�s going to cost me $50. I�ll start shopping on ebay, thanks for the info!
