Having problems trying to download the PC software and maps. I'm curious to see what the maps look like; to see what they changed from the zero map.
EDIT: got it done. Looks like with a slip on they richen the mixture from 2750 to 3500 rpm quite a bit; especially at lower throttle openings.

Thanks for posting that the PC is now available for the 1200. I might not have noticed otherwise. I ordered mine last night! I expect it'll solve -- or enable me to solve -- the relatively minor issues I have with rideability.

They had my bike for a week, you'd think they would have taken pictures..

Has anyone tried the "autotune" box? It seems to use a supplied O2 sensor and from what I can gather, the PCV bypasses the stock O2 sensor altogether. I plan to call Dynojet and confirm that this is the case, but assuming that it is, I think the autotune might be a good idea?

A PCV without autotune will work just like a PCIII (but with more options for upgrade). Essentially, with both III and V it is recommended that you bypass the stock 02 sensor. If you add autotune, you will need to use the new, better 02 sensor than the one that comes on the bike. I think it might be a wideband sensor, but I could be wrong.

I wonder if the autotune takes into account the presence of air injection or do they require that PAIRs are removed?

Chris Kelly at Dynojet told me you need to disable or remove the PAIR system for the autotune to work correctly.

Makes sense. My 1200 was probably the first in the world to have the PAIR removed.

The Autotune module comes with the O2 sensor (and won't work with anything else). It is definitely a wideband sensor - I have an Autotune fitted to my bike. Only a wideband sensor can be used for isntantaneous and small adjustments to fuelling. A narrowband sensor reacts very slowly to changes in mixture and only operates across a narrower mixture band...hence the name!

I have not found a really good use for my Autotune. I spent better money on a custom tune where I specifically asked for better midrange response off a closed throttle. My 800 now has great power in the midrange (probably also helped by the Motad headers and 2006 injectors).

Placed an order yesterday and.... wait for it..... its on indeterminate backorder. Ugh.

I got the same response: "The 16-020 has not yet been released. The ETA is 30 days. It could be released sooner but there is no way for me to tell at this time." I'm willing to wait...

Same answer in the netherlands. Not available yet. I will wait.

Got a response from fuel-moto today...They said that the availability date is 3/8/2011.

well after sat i will know if i have the suspension sorted and if it is then a PC-V wont be far behind and with the auto tune

dyno probably wont happen, not much point with the auto tune unit.

if i see a cheap dyno day i might whack it on just to see what its got, if so i will post it up

I was very happy to see that the postman brought my unit today. I'm off to install it.....

If you have not removed your body panels yet, be prepared, they are a pain. And be sure to order some of the white clips ahead of time because they seem to be a one use item.

I don't know how you're doing it but I found the panel removal to be a cinch.... I've had them off and on a few times and haven't busted or lost a clip.

You just have to make sure to do it all in the right order and they pop off without any trouble.

Any news on how the Power Commander is performing on you 1200. Please update us, as I am considering the Power Commander or Bazazz to help with my lean surge.
