After taking off the the fork reflectors on my 6th gen I noticed they could be put to good use.

Remove the reflectors from the metal plates and you'll have the two brackets to hang the tag. A bending of the plates is necessary, I used two plyers and bent the plates with ease. With the rear fender removed there will be two available screw slots to use as mounting points. (new hardware not included)

I didn't take many pictures but it's easy to figure out once the fender is removed and you hold the metal plates up to the mounting points. It looks better with the tag in place but you can get the general idea.
