Now I have money for paint and bodywork..and rear suspension for the '86 VFR700, which took the Vmax's place in the stable.

I'm gonna miss that motor, but that was the worst-handling chasis I ever rode.....

Dutchy is there an image? I'm not seeing it....

Worst part is, the buyer was reluctant to make the two-hour-ride home in the dark with Wife following him, as he hasn't ridden in a few years and wants to practice in his neighborhood before hitting the streets on a monster like the Vmax. Smart man. So it's locked up in my garage and I have to look at the beautiful thing till Friday, when a trailer will take it away.....

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt .........sold a V MAX ???? Good lord. Those bikes are the best for cruisin. When the max came out in 85,they were never designed to carve turns like our vfr's.From the day those bikes came out I have always loved the look and one day I will own one for just for highway cruisin.Having a max and a vfr I would then be able to say I have the best of both worlds.Carving days...vfr, long rides... v max end of story !!! Well with that being said I am sadden to hear of a loss that you just sold!!!

I'm proud to say I own three V-4's:

1996 V-Max
2002 VFR
2004 ST1300

Love that small block Chevy sound of the V-Max.

My favorite write up on a motorcycle was the V-Max when it first came out, the writer said something to the effect of, " I saw Jesus so many times when I rode the V-Max that I started using him as a brake marker!"

I'm really gonna miss it.

My Vmax was the exact pink of the one in the comic.....I put it back to stock before I sold it....it just rode away with the new owner.
