Using Easy Off oven cleaner to remove paint

I need to remove some high temperature engine & case paint from my front brake carriers. Can I spray Easy Off oven cleaner on them to remove the paint without stripping the anodize? If so, should I use regular Easy Off or the heavy duty kind?

Thanks.

Not sure about the paint (will probably come off) but anodizing will get stripped off with oven cleaner.
#3
Stay away from anything with sodium hydroxide in it(that will strip the anodize).

Then how do I get the paint off? Is there something I can simply spray on the carriers? They'll be off the wheel if that matters.

What exactly is stripping the anodize? Would it somehow weaken the carriers' strength? Would it change their color from the current gold-like color to something more silver-like?

Somebody help me out here. I don't want to make a mistake.
