Just a quick note that the cheapest price I could find with out sending an order to the USA. ( best price w/ freight was about $430 - 450.00 ).

Sargent Seat w/black welt at a cost of $380.00

I dealt with Jason.

Hey Gerry
Sorry, who is that distributor?
Did you find cheaper from the US?

Distributor / retailer I guess they would fall under. click on the " I dealt with Jason" and it will take you to the company website.

I emailed Sarg seat and they where $409.00 USD plus freight... Almost $470.00

I called Jake W and the price was $355.00 plus freight and it would have been around the $430.00 mark. ( USA guys / gals, I will post that $$ in the Bargin finder )

A few other retailers where in the $430-450 range.

So, with my brother in law in Vancouver, he will pick it up and upon his visit in about a months time and hand it over. freight to me would be about $20.00.

i deal with bayside some and they are a good place to deal with, PR2 usually on sale, not as good as some of the US places but local so they can install. :)

I have dealt with Bayside as well. No complaints here.

Gerry,

Thanks for the info, and I'm sorry about the dumb question--I just couldn't see the link on the screen of my iphone.

Cheers man!

Seat just arrived to today $380.00, now, if the snow would melt I would be able to test it out.

#8
Can't you put it on your bike, sit on it and go vroom vroom ?

After 70,000 kilometres on my bike I bought a Sargent seat, too. Put it on the other day. Seems comfy (in the garage). ;)
One oddity, the rear cowl doesn't fit on the Sargent very well.

A couple more weeks and I'll be able to test the seat out.

Polar,

I can not do that yet.... I am having hard enough time right now waiting for the snow to leave. We had 3 days of sunshine... now its snowing. Its getting tougher every day. Last year I was on the street around March 15th.... this year... looks like April.

SF - I cant wait either to try the seat out. I am going to head down to Nelson sometime in May, leave on a Friday after work and return Sunday. I will send you a PM and post up on the board.

Well, at that price, I was sure tempted to get one to see how much I would like it. But I don't ride enough these years with the young one who keep me at home most of the time (my choice) so I really can't justify the expense right now. But please let us know if it lives up to your expectations Gerry.

ok, you get your beer back.
You are wrong. We have 19 days of sun up here, this gives us a small window in which to repair our dog sleds and let the cute little puppies rest. :pinocchio:

The rear cowl is a tight fit because of the extra padding and the rear is just a bit wider than stock, but mine fits and holds well.

I got mine on a group buy 2 years ago, but it was still around $380 once I got it here, no one at home could do better than $500. The higher Canadian dollar must be helping with pricing here at home. :fing02:

Interesting. I thought the rear of the seat looked wider.
It fit, just didn't seem quite right. Thanx for the feedback.

To update now that I have logged some time on the bike and we are in ride season. A quick product review on the Sargent seat I purchased.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet gawwwwwwwwd almighty I love this seat. Of course its way better than stock by about 150%. This should add some comfort when I make the trek to Vegas / Tucson / Colorado. Well worth the $380.
