1st day ride on the new VFR

After getting my new bike home last week I finally got a chance to get her out on the two laners. 130 miles. All I can say is WOW. The power is nothing short of intoxicating. The brakes are insane. The ride is glass smooth. And.........NOBODY else up here has one. Even some Harley riders were staring at her at the gas station.

I truly believe if more people were to ride the new Viff..They would buy one!

1st mod will be Sergeant Seat, then an Akrapovic Slip-On.

I know were got that bike you did well and Welcome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my first time out with the Akro installed and when I got home I pulled out the baffle; today was the 1st ride like that. ...I LOVE the way it sounds with the baffle removed; not too loud (might be for some) but deep and throaty; it sounds like a 1200!!! :)

Sargent reworked my seat for me and it's just amazing... They didnt make a replacement seat as of a couple of months ago, so one's stuck with the refoam and recover
which is just fine! It actually works out to be less money, being that one keeps their seat pan.. I spent a day up there in Jax and watched them put it together....

I highly recommend them.

I had one on my 03 VFR and loved it. I will definitely be sending them mine.

Can you please tell me about how much it cost to recover the seat by Sargent? I just got a quote from them at $370.00 just to recover my seat on my VFR1200. I went directly to their facility, as I live here in Jacksonville.

Yes, everything has pointed to a great bike, well except for the gas tank size. Hope Honda can sell these bikes, they did a great job!! It does everything well!!

How do you like the handling compared to the 2003? I currently have a 2005, my only real concern with the 7th gen is the weight, I do like to hit the twisty back roads now and then. What kind of mileage are you getting?

As far as mileage you can check fuelly for this:

vfr1200 mileage

I have got over 40mpg on occasion. My short commutes really eat the mileage. I think the warm up eats up the gas. On longer rides the mileage gets much better.
