I have a 2002 VFR800. Occasionally the instrument cluster (fuel, tack, speed, water temp) all go out for about 1 minute then come back on again. The bike keeps running though. I can't seem to figure any pattern. It does it sometimes when I am riding and sometimes when it is sitting perfectly still so I don't think it has anything to do with loose wiring. I have already had the recall for the ground wire problem near the steering head done at the Honda dealership under warranty. Anyone got any ideas please?
Along with this I also experience a complete shut down of the bike when riding. Just a quick hit on the starter button brings it back to life immediately though. I am not sure if the two are related.
