Euro riders: H7 sockets for low beams?

I sold an HID kit to a European rider with a 2002 w/ABS. His low beam sockets appear to be for H7 bulbs, not H4/9003. I have never seen this before...anyone else?

My Canadian /04 is the usual H4/H7 combo.

are you positive that he is not trying to install into the wrong housing (top instead of bottom)?

Yes, he sent pictures. I am trying to determine if there is a European difference, or if maybe someone just modified his lights (he isn't the original owner). The lights are different as there is the clamp for the parking lights, but I can't see anything that looks like it was modified.

That's weird, I can't see honda changing things up like? Not saying they wouldn't, just don't make sense.

Easy enough fix using the HID H7 replacement, although it will cost you because you have to ship again. Hope you get it figured out.

If the bulb difference is not a one-off, it is no trouble to create an H7 version of the kit.

Yes, the Euro spec VTEC has 4 H7 bulbs, only pre VTEC VFRs have dual filament H4 bulbs.

Yup Euro Spec and Asian Spec are 4 H7

Wow, that is good to know! I wonder why they went with 4 H7 bulbs? the H4 used only utilizes one filament, so I don't know why it would need to be different anyway. I wonder if the throw is different with the H7 because of the parking lights used?
