Made it to the track ok
After Timmy calling me a lul, I better post up
When the circus come to town country, one better goes and see the show.
We set the Nuvi to avoid motorways and take shortest route to get on some interesting roads.
On the way up, we got pulled over by a motorcycle cop. Not that he caught us speeding (us???) but a major cycling event was on and the caravan approaching....
We went past Assen and continued north, to pick up my brother's ZUMO, which he had left in the car, and his SO had a weekend break with collegues....
Nice place to rent eh?
Just what I need, a large garage.....
We had to stop because some 500,000 Harley Davidsons glided past.....
Pitched the tent
Assen town was reosanably busy (not as crowded as the TT in June), here one of the bands....
Our neighbours (6 guys 1 girl) has a bit of a rough night...
Ruskenhoek Warm Up
Superchode was there too
Happy Days! Haga leading the pack!
Didnot last long but other happy days emerged....
Let's look at that again....
Sign your name between the lines.....
We did end up sponsoring Gadaffi......

Castrol Honda wanting to do good on their home turf
Burn some Castrol!!!
An absolutely awesome set of races. Still can't believe Checa pulled that move off. You could hear him just gun it past Biaggi from the on-board shot. That's what happens when you get off the defensive line though.
Too bad Camier can't get the bike off the line as well as the other riders. Was quite impressive to see him just blow by rider after rider, trying to claw his way to the top. Hopefully next race he gets a better spot on the grid. Might be able to knock Raygun from top brit.
Top ten seem to be getting really competitive now. Can't remember when I last saw a race where anyone finished three abreast.

Good report and great pix's
Thanks Dutchy, hope ya had a great weekend. The Flat Black Cop has a point, hardly seems like you without umbrella girls, what gives....still downloading em all
Thanks for the pics, too bad I couldn't join you and had to watch it from DVR. Again some good racing on Assen and great to see all manufacturers were competitive. About halfway race one the lead group was Honda, Aprilia, Kawasaki, Ducati, BMW & Suzuki, that's something you do not see in MotoGP.

Was actually joking around with the rest of the aero team about the other boat on the barge. Probably has a remote control for the barge and uses it (and the smell) to clear some space for his boat.
Seem you had a nice time :fing02:
HAve to see if I make it some time.... But this year the trip goes a bit more south to see more booring MotoGP
