CARDAN PROBLEM

Problems with Cardang (DRIVE SHAFT), At low speed the Cardang is making a weird noise (klak-klak). When you let the motor stand on it's centerstand...., when you put the vitesse in first and you turn the wheel up and down there is a lot of latitude. Can anybody tell me howmuch latitude is acceptable for the Cardang, when you driving slowly you hear always that -klak-klak- sound. Is this normal?

I would contact the dealer. It is still under warranty, I assume.
Cardan (a.k.a. Shaft) should not be making noises.

I beleive what you are hearing is the klack klack of the slipper clutch

thw K100 guys lived in fear due to a rumour that an ungreased spline caused instant catastrophic failure of the driveshaft. When you say cardan, do yoou mean the actual universal joint or the whole driveshaft. I hope it is nothing, like my K100 turned out to be.

I work on a lot of Swiss and German made equipment and they always refer to U-Joints as a cardan. The shaft is usually called out as a seperate item. Based on that, I suspect the OP is refering to just the U-Joint. Cardan is so named because of this character, Gerolamo Cardano.
