I visited a north county multiline/Honda dealer yesterday. I sat on the VFR1200f and was greeted by the salesman. After his token sales pitch he ask if I was interested in a demo ride. I said yes and ask him the details. I was told Honda is giving them incentives to offer demo rides. What Honda wants in return is written feedback on the bike. Maybe they are listening.
I am returning Tuesday for my ride. I am happy to give them my honest feedback. I will also suggest the tank is too small and the MSRP too large.

My local dealer is notorious for never allowing demo rides without basically a completed sale... then they will tear up your check if you don't want the bike.

I'll have to swing by and see if they are participating in this program.

I might have to swing by my Honda dealer this week... Wouldn't mind riding one and giving my feedback. "Tank's too small, price is too large" Bet they get a lot of those...

I'd do it if I could. Last time I was in my local dealer they said they didn't even order a VFR1200 in. Guess they are more interested in selling Harley's.

This was the same line I got when I visited my local dealership this past weekend- pushing demos on the VFR1200F with the hint of some kind of incentive plan- not sure what though. At the end of the demo, I filled out a questionnaire with my honest feedback from the demo ride and the bike. It was painless for me to demo the VFR1200F, and my curiosity was satisfied. What do you have to lose?

Cheers!
