Well, 2500 miles into this affair with my new mechanical mistress and I have to report that my lust grows every time I ride this incredible bike. I've taken three 500 mile trips and I can say that the power is intoxicating. 100mph crusing at just 6K rpm is as effortless as riding 55mph. Thank God I got a radar detector when I got the bike. It's paid for itself many times over. I believe that someone called it sneaky fast in an article and that is a great description. Being a near 600 lb bike, I did not expect it to be super quick but was really excited by the great midrange power and torque. Winding it up through 2nd and 3rd gears will induce a shit eating grin like nothing else.
Taking it to the Cherohala Skyway this week to really see what she's all about.

Sounds fantastic! I am in the market for a bike, and this is currently at the top o' the list. Looking forward to your report after Cherohala.

She's all waxed up and ready to head out at 6AM. Wish it wasn't going to be 40 degrees in the morning though. It's supposed to hit 70 degrees so it should be perfect tomorrow. I've not been up there since I moved to TN.
Damn. I want one so bad, and posts like this do not help. There was one "used" here in Los Angeles that had only 500 miles. According to the stealership, a farkle manufacturer had owned it for a bit, and it still had a few of said farkles. I made him an offer for $14k out the door, and he accepted it. Sadly I couldn't get the financial stars aligned at that time, and the bike's since been sold. *sigh*
