It may be an RVF name but nothing from that bike can be sold to public,
those were the rules for GP in the past, and probably present, otherwise it's just a WSBK.

There is some new "privateer" rules as well, supposed to be cleared up this month.

I was under the assumption that they would have to run a production chassis with the production engine. Its likely that Honda won't be using a production based bike after all, and all this RVF1000 talk is just that. Like you said, we will have to wait and see what what the final rules will be. Initially I read that there would be a lower limit on engine size for prototype engines, and 1000cc's the limit for production based. If they're not forced to use a production based engine, then whats the point of the rule change anyway? I mean, if the point is to make the racing more exciting, then they just need to ditch or limit traction control.

Well, at least this bike looks better than all these nasty photochopped abominations, even if its flat black and you can barely tell what it looks like! Fingers crossed regardless!
