Seventh Generation Tank Pad?

Those of you that have had your VFR1200 long enough to have an opinion on the factory tank pad, what do you think of it?
I just saw it on a VFR1200 on the floor at my dealers today.
It looks like it might be a nice addition to my Red 2004 if it works.
It seems a little small, but being less noticeable is something I think I would like.
I have also seen a pad from a ST1300 on a VFR and it was much larger and in the $50 to $60 price range.
I think the VFR1200 pad is only about $25.

I just installed a clear "Tank Slapper" three piece kit and have no experience with how it will work over time.
Looks good, though. (Can't see it.)

Me too. The tank slapper works great on my DCT, plus it was only about $15.00.
