Got in around 130am this morning. Did 1024miles in just over 18hours to get home. Weather was nice and traffic was light, so I pushed on. just putting the stuff together to claim my Iron Butt award.
Well, I managed to drop the VFR on my foot in a gravel/dirt parking area today... Nothing more than a tipover, and the GIVI held the bike up keeping my new Thurn clear signal from breaking.
Otherwise home safe in a little over 7 hours. Took me 2 hours to get there on Wednesday!
Temp display was reading over 100 on the highway for the last bit. :blink:
Just a bit over 1200 miles in total.
I left Franklin this morning at 8:25 am and I arrived back at my home in Tallahassee, Florida, at 3:15pm. I had an awesome time and fulfilled a wish to ride "The Dragon" for the first time. OMG so awesome! I have clocked 1,295 miles on the bike beginning on May 18th to today, May 22. To all the people I met at TMAC, you rock!!

Hey all! Vicki and I got home at 3pm. To all those I've known, those I just met, and those I have yet to meet, thanks for making this another great event to remember! Can't wait to see the photo evidence. Note to self, 3 full saddlebags and a wife on the back make for a really really light front tire! I think I did more wheelies on Friday than I've ever done in my life. I felt like the "bride and groom" in the Cannonball movie. LOL.

I liked the big group dinner on Saturday night. I think we should make that a regular thing.
TMAC was seriously one of the best weekends of my year again. It was great seeing friends from last time and meeting new people. I missed a few friends I made last year. Hopefully they can come again next year. I plan on being there again next year.
I drove to the north side of the dragon this morning, unloaded my bike, and ran the dragon/skyway. I had the skyway all to myself at noon. Stopped for lunch in tellico and backtracked back the same way. There was a crash on the skyway when i was coming back through. I hate seeing that, crashes on the skyway dont usually end well for the rider, i hope he made it.
Got back home to Morristown, Tn at around 6
It was good meeting everyone. Thanks again to Vecky5 for the warm bed last night, was much better than the car on friday lol

Made it home in about 2.5 hrs thanks to the BORING interstate. It was great meeting all of you and a big thanks goes to SKUUTER for showing me the best views this area has to offer! Count down for next year begins now.

Home safe n sound myself.... just got in about 7 pm after a nice relaxing scenic ride home on the BRP from the beginning in Cherokee over to NC 80 (at which point it started pouring rain, lol), with a few good hikes along the way, haha. Had a great time last night! Wish I could have made it there sooner to ride with everybody, but was kind of a crazy weekend so had to make due. As always thanks to everyone that makes it happen!

Adam, Mark, and I blew into Atlanta around 11:30 am after a brief McMuffin stop in Clayton. We sent Mark on to Tallahassee.
What a great T-Mac this year. I really missed some of the faces from the past but all the additions, like the food, new flaff, prizes, really were a good addition. Can't wait 'til next year. Thanks Baileyrock for carrying things forward. Will there be a T-Mac 08 sticker for your signature banner??

I passed up my "Hardrider" Harley riding friends in Nashville (Pinky and her man Randy). I made it to my house im St. Louis by 7pm.
The weather here sucks monkey butt, and the roads are lame. I wanna go back to Franklin area.
Oh, and I got a sweet welcome from the State of Illinois. I got a "Performance Award" for 72 in a 65. AND I get to donate 120 dollars to keep the lights on a Navy Pier. Yeah me !
Got home about an hour ago, other then Dan getting a speeding ticket on 81 (you were right Timmy, there are a lot of cops on 81 :mad: ) the trip home went great. Loved hanging out with you guys and wish I could go back right now!! Ken you throw a great party, and it was really cool riding with you Seb and Micheal, thanks again!!

Look me up any time you want to get together! Part of my job takes me to the morganton area often. Glad to hear from another local.
I ran into some stand still traffic near Chattanooga temp was nasty. A member of an all girl Harly group went down with heat problems. Took almost an hour to get her cooled down and enough fluid to get her back on the road (riding in the chase car). Moral of the story is keep hydrated and ride a water cooled bike.

Sleep? In the Yankee Express? Would YOU willingly sleep around those guys? I did have to close my eyes a few times and put a death grip on the chicken bar, but we won't get into that.
Well, Bill and I made it home. I left him in Troy around 7pm and headed for SC, got home about an hour ago. Had a great Church service at Cartoogechaye Church of God this morning, was really hoping to see some other VFRD folks there.
Bill asked me to let everyone know that he had a great time and I wanted to thank everyone for making him feel like one of the VFRD family!
We both are looking forward to next year or the next meet in Franklin! :cheerleader:

Miserable weather between St. Louis and the Missouri River just west of Columbia... 60 mph cross winds crossing the bridge.
Somewhere between my last fuel stop and home is a kickstand bolt... damn near dropped my bike in my driveway.
Whores.......where are the whores?.................. TIMMy - you said I'd find them in the motel back parking lot........ I can't find the whores................
Ok - enough already - Greg and I broke across the border and are both in our respective homes.
I drove to the PA line, where I about went comatose and Greg took over from there. He wasn't seeing double anymore so I figured he was good to go!
Great times, and awesome memories. Thanks to all that helped Greg out yesterday - truoly a better group of friends couldn't be found anywhere else.

First, thanks again to everyone that helped to put me back on the road after the "singing battery" issue Friday night. Bill and Wesley, truly appreciate y'all hanging with me on the side of the road for a couple of hours till help returned.

I got back to Texass around 9:30 last night just as it started raining. Upper 80's and sunny the entire 8,000 mile trip. Thanks to the guy in the black S-class Merc I was able to do 90 across most of Louisiana! Posted Image

Made it home last night. The trip was uneventful except the overabundance of debt collectors on 81.
Saw some hurricane damage in one spot. TV coverage somehow doesn't convey it quite like seeing it in person.
I would like to thank all for making this event such a success. It just gets better and better each year and I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Rolled in at about 1:30 Monday. Missed all the rain, excpt for a brief shower south of Dayton. No drama except for construction leaving KY on 75. Thirty+ minutes of stop and go in 28C heat...
Next year I'm adding a day each side and enjoying the ride there and back.

Made it home in 12 hours and 35 minutes door to door (660 miles), including gas stops and an hour of sitting in a rest area an hour north of Indianapolis waiting for tornado like weather to pass. 1,700 total for all 4 days. I am thinking maybe next year I will might figure out a way to transport the bike instead of riding it each way. 129 and 28 into Franklin after 550 miles is a long day. And starting with 28 and 129 at 630am Sunday when I am still asleep is scary.
I am looking forward to next year!

Got out of the truck and noticed that the steel side cooler handle let loose somewhere between Seb's and my home. Big scrape and gouge on the right side fairing right through the VFR sticker.

Had a fantastic trip, got my knees on the deck, got schooled by Seb, Timmy & Burns and was smiling ear to ear 99% of the time.
Jeez just got home an hour ago and stood in a hot shower for 20 minutes trying to warm up! Right at Oakley KS the wind kicked up to 40mph and then it started to rain, and not that nice warm Missouri rain no it was cold ass rain from Colorado 40F comming at me from a 45 degree angle. Lucky I missed all the tornados!

Hi All, had a great time, made it back 7:30 PM, no problems, rode the BRP to Roanoke and detour through White Mountains, total 8,000 K (5,000 miles) 10 days. It was great to see everyone. Now just have to wait for the warm temperatures to come here.

I would ride through a downpour, then 80 and humid, then another downpour, etc. etc. After a little while of off and on they had so many tears I ripped them off hulk style. Was kind of fun. Being wet kept me cooler on the next hot patch anyway.
