Removed the chain guard in preparation to clean the swingarm and noticed this. It's at the top of the swingarm on my 6th gen. Seems like there is a little piece of broken plastic protruding from the hole that spins. Anyone know what this is, or was? Cause for concern?

uhhhhh, its where your chainguard bolts on to swingarm , i think theres an expansion plug in there
Looks like one of clips for the chain guard. A broken one of course.
No idea what you mean by expansion plug. To the best of my knowledge the guards only attachments are two allen bolts on the left side of the swingarm
That was my thought but there is no place on the guard that's broken off where it would of attached
missing plastic clip/bolt that holds the chain guard on.

Now I know! Thanks. Just stange there's no indication there was ever a place for a clip to go through the guard. Must of hit something and snapped it off perfectly symmetrical.
It's the tip of a plastic rivet. Just like the ones used on the fairings.
man I thought it was the much rumoured, yet rarely seen Lesser Spotted Ukrainian Fartsnorkle. But on second glance, I see that it is a plastic clip.
It's a plastic clip that holds the chain guard to the swingarm. Mine broke off too, I think they all do after a while. The two bolts that hold the guard on to the side of the swingarm will suffice.

Timmy... you are not well... not enough blood in your alcohol I believe... :blink: that is definitely not the Ukranian Fartsnorkle, they haven't been seen in the wild for several decades... only captive examples survive in the modern day... very delicate breeders you know.
Zoomy try searching here or VFRW someone posted a site thats sell a whole lot of it in bulk...these things often break....btw can u post pics of ur Micron pics? Its is obnoxiously protruding :wub:
