Hi Peoples, I have two questions.....................
Firstly, I remember somewhere on here that you can't have a Pc-V fitted then install a speedohealer cause it play's up on the Pc-V unit. Is that right or have a got it wrong.
Second, I also remember that with the Pc-V you can get a switch that mounts to the handle bars so you can move between two maps on the Pc-V. But I now can't seem to find any reference to it.
Thanks
SJC

Yes, you can have a Speedohealer and a PCV - you just need to take the speedo reading before the Speedohealer alters the signal rather than after it - just tap the wire in a different place. Either that, or keep the Speedohealer change under 10% - that's been confirmed to avoid the issue.
Correction - I think I must have been having a brain fart. The Speedohealer and PCV will work fine together. It's only the 2006+ model ECUs which are affected by Speedohealers, and you can avoid the problem by keeping the Speedo alteration under 10%.
As for the switch, you can mount any kind of switch, anywhere you like. You can buy a specific switch from Powercommander, but it doesn't have to be from them. Personally I have a switch with a rubber weatherproof seal mounted to the fairing, which I use to activate the Autotune. The switch can be used to change maps, or toggle Autotune. All the switch has to do is open or close the circuit between two wires which you connect into screw-posts on the powercommander box.
Oh, it's worth noting that the Powercommander won't let you have switchable maps as well as Autotune tables. So if you want Autotune, you can't have different base maps. Annoying, but I get the reasons - it uses up a lot more memory.
