How to Build a Monometer (and how to perform a carb sync)

Below are the supplies I used - 26' of Clear 3/16" Tubing, 3/16" Couplers and T's and a metal rod to adapt for the rear carbs.

I had a piece of board in the garage that measured 12" x 40ish" that looked perfect, recycled as much as possible

Found the perfect Funnel (the lid to a plastifix bottle!!!) and filled the tubes with 2 stroke oil - any spare oil works great!

On a side note - I decided to de-pair the bike and went for this method :) ***This is the main reason I did not finish synching the carbs - Have to wait for the weld to DRY!

The monometer cost me $17.00 from the local ACE hardware store - and very easy to make.
Now ALL I need is some baby hands and tools to get at the adjustment screws on the bottom side of the carbs!

Last night I finished the De-Pairing and got everything ready for a Carb Sync - sorry forgot the pics in the camera at home...will post up tonight.

Hooked up the new manometer to the 4 carbs, and found 2 of the carbs fairly out of sync, adjusted them until all 4 where very close in relation to vacuum and VIOLA!
The bike now runs as smooth as silk! I could not be happier with the outcome.
Before the sync, at idle the bike would fluctuate withing 50rpm's - and off the line if you were just slowly pulling thru the gears, you could actually feel this "miss"
Now at idle, it is very smooth and feels like new going down the road!
