I was almost hit by a cage yesterday on the west bound 101/405 merge and I had to move quickly to avoid the blind bastard.
In doing so, I hit something I think was a road reflector.
I did not think anything of it until I saw the dented rim today after a spirited ride on Mulholland.

My old boss knows someone that can true it up again but, "how?" is what I want to know.

They will chuck it up in a fixture jig and use hydraulics to push the rim back into shape, then check the deflection, lather, rinse, repeat.

Glad you are OK. It sucks that your wheel got bent in the avoidance. It might be possible that the wheel can be fixed. I had a rim fixed a few years ago with good results (it had lateral runout).

What kind of tire and PSI ?
