OK, so this might sound a little crazy, but I'm looking for a Honda VFR800 owner (or a BMW F800ST or Triumph Sprint ST owner) in southern Oregon who would let me and my girlfriend sit on their bike.
I know how that sounds, here's a little more explanation.
We want to buy a used Honda VFR800 from a dealer we found on CycleTrader.com, and they'll ship the bike up to us, but we must agree to the sale beforehand. Here's the problem: She's never sat on one two-up. I'm head over heels in love with the bike, but before we go ahead with it, we just need to find one somewhere in southern Oregon where we could try out the two-up seating comfort. We wouldn't ask to drive it, only sit on it.
Of course, I would dis-robe of all metal clothing items -- belt buckles, zippers, ninja swords, rapper chains, etc., to be sure no damage is done to the bike's finish. And if we so much as ding it, we'll buy it. . . in other words, we'll be super-careful and will remain under your watchful supervision at all times.
And we'll even throw in a couple Dutch Bros. coffees, or some other goodies for your trouble. Heck, we'll even bring along some jokes and party favors to keep you entertained.
What do you think? If you can help out a fellow VFR diehard, or know someone who could, we'd be super-grateful.
