Finding the new VFR a bit of a strain on the hands, found a set of Heli bars that are supposed to be 2" higher 1" back and less of a downward rake just wondered if anyone has tried them and if there worth the 300 dollars they want for them shipped to the UK
or is there any other solutions heres a link to the ebay page

I had the Vario bars on my 800 Vtec and loved them, infinatly adjustable was just hoping for a cheaper solution after buying the bike, Rack, top box, cntr stand, heated grips, Akrapovic, better bulbs, alarm, the pockets are a bit empty lol

I put the Heli Bars on my DCT and, for me (even though I am 6' 1" and had no reach issues with stock), they have made a world of difference for my wrists and are worth every penny. With the DCT version, the tolerances are 1/8" all around but they work a charm with no significant difference in handling.

The bars are flatter than the stock orientation which for me is not quite as comfortable as the stock angle. This is not to say they're uncomfortable, the added height and offset to the rear is quite the improvement to overall comfort, but the flatter profile puts a bit of additional pressure on my outer palms. After a lengthy ride I can definitely feel the effects and find myself compensating by angling my wrists to relieve the pressure.
They are a well constructed bit of kit though, my recent low side demonstrated their robustness and didn't suffer any bending whatsoever.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread but, what brand is that tank bag "tharkun". I have just purchased a left over 2010 vfr1200 and my joe rocket bag will not fit the tank due to the plastic sides of the tank.

I think I'm going to be selling my Helibars for the aforementioned reason. If anyone is interested in them, give me a shout. They are the DCT version and are in great shape.

Tank bag is a Bags Connection set up with a SW MOTECH mount. Available from twisted throttle.com. They are good people & have a lot of neat stuff for VFRs.

I love my Heli Bars! I wasn't after the "up" as much as the "back"

This sounds like a Mod I will like. Planning to ride to Indiannapolis next year with the gang.
