I just removed the flapper valve from the stock exaust and I have to say that the throaty sound that my 1200 make now is much better. I do get a little bit of rattle from the flapper, but I can live with that for now. I don't really want to give up the look of the stock exaust as it fits with the future look of the bike.

I am waiting on some one to make a similar shaped exaust or a modified one that I can fit the stock shrouds around to keep the look but get the performance of aftermarket exhausts.

Any one out there want to sell their stock exaust and shroud so I can experiment?

Someone here makes a carbon fiber shroud for the exhaust that looks pretty good.

What would you be willing to give for an extra stock exhaust?

That is a good question, remember I want to tear it apart and experiment with it so that will cost me money, so something like 100? Am I to low?

It is a thought.

Not a huge fan of carbon fiber. ( what I call the Crome of the 21st century).

I read some where that the carbon fiber shroud gets a little discolored after a while.
