Ride report with pics and videos (including a 'highlight reel'). The ride was 206 miles and consumed 9 1/2 hours including breaks. You can find the report here: http://foothillryder...october-8-2012/

Enjoy!

really? did you bother to click on the link?

seriously, some of us don't have the time to post the same thing in a dozen places, and one will do.

So you posted the same thing in a dozen forums to drive traffic to your site? Yes I clicked your link, did not see a link back to vfrd or for any other sites you mentiond besides sabmag? If you have time to post on 12 sites the same thing, then you have time to copy paste the content bb code is bb code!  Its obvious your motive is to drive traffic to your site - not really to contribute content to any of those 12 sites; To what end I dont know I am not sure, ad revenue perhaps? I seem to have a whole slew of new members who just want to do this, hey I got a blog I am gonna join a bunch of forums and use them to get members over to my blog? Is that it? Not going to give a shout back to any of them or a link back? Thats just wrong.

To be honest I enjoyed the link I read the whole thing and I like the classic vfr its in great shape but dissapointed that you posted in the vfrd ride report forum in such short abbrevated form - and that I cant use the content for my homepage cause it just a link to somewhere else, so yea, I got frustrated with it. The ride report forum was built for this purpose and most of my members understand that, I even pinned a post about that in this forum a year or so ago, about how it was changing from a genuie ride report area to 2 sentences and a link to some video or a blog, its just not right! I am sorry I chose you to express this on, but well Its clear to me that your not really a member of this group but rather a user of this group. I have been running this forum since 2001 and never once did I go onto another forum with the intent just to draw thier members to my site, I used search engines and created good content, word of mouth and built this place on its merits.  I ask for participation from my members - spelled it out right in the rules, and have had over 30000 members at one time or another over the last 10 years and probably 10 times that as guest.  I like featureing my members rides, work, and stories, and they enjoy it too.  Maybe next time you decide to share copy paste the bb code over, and then link to your site, it doesnt take much longer and I can use the content for a feature for a week or two.

Most humble apologies; but your assumptions are all wrong. I get no 'ad revenues' (there aren't any ads, btw). The folks on other forums don't seem to have a problem with how I choose to post my ride reports.

Rest assured I won't clutter your forum with any further report links.

Thanking you in advance.
