I'm gettin' old, and while the riding position on my '86 VFR is comfortable enough to ride the bike all day without pain, I find it difficult to do that if the roads are both twisty and bumpy. Problem is my neck gets very sore due to the position it needs to be in and the motions associated with riding twisties. I'm sure that risers to bring the bars up another inch and perhaps back a similar amount would fix the problem.
So... anyone have a solution for this? I've tried searching, and other than GenMar I haven't found anything for this bike.
Superbike bars. I love the ones on my Aprilia Tuono. Once you drill the mounting holes in your upper triple clams you just need to look at some bars that fit. May have to buy longer break or clutch lines but I think your throttle cables should reach.
I absolutely needed a longer front brake line from the master to the y-adapter. It's about 2" too short. My buddy has one for me, just haven't picked it up yet, hence the delay.
In dry fitting it, with some grips on it loosely, it felt nice and didn't hit anything. Mine are superbike handlebars from Spiegler, and an unknown riser off of another bike. Any risers should work.
Thanks guys. I'm looking at the LSL/Speigler kit, as it just replaces the existing clipons at the top of the forks with the mounts for the standard handlebar - no drilling involved. I'm thinking I might be okay with a set of 'Clubman' bars rather than the one that comes with the Speigler kit. I had Clubman's (aka 'M' bars) on my CB550 'back in the day', and mounted 'upside down' they really worked well and were very comfortable.

Do they have them in 37mm?
what product are you looking at. I'm kind of interested.
