Hey all,
Just found this forum today and had to join. This is such a great resource and community! I just got a '99 VFR800 this past July (after not riding for 3 years) and am loving it! Anywho, thought I'd officially introduce myself. Any riders in the ATX area?
Welcome aboard fellow VFR rider!
Ausin is my hometown and purchased my first Honda V-Fours (84 vf500, 86 vfr750) at the old Honda of Austin on East First Street. I think it's a hispanic natural foods store now :^(
Is Woods Honda still around on Lamar Ave (bought a new xr600 there in '93)?
If your new to sport touring, do not pass up the opportunity to head west towards Bandera, Leakey, Comfort, Driftwood, and Luckenbach.
I also recommend next summer that you make the effort to explore SW Colorado........even BETTER than the great roads listed above!
Welcome to the forum. I haven't ridden with other VFR members yet. In fact, in all these years I have only seen one other VFR on my hill country rides! I do ride with a group made up of sport-touring types that meet at the Speedy Stop @ 360 and Bee Cave on Saturdays @ 7am. We usually ride to Blanco, Johnson City, ect.. for breakfast and then head back or out depending on your mood.

Thanks! Yeah, Woods is now Woods Fun Center. They are the only licensed dealer in the county for kawa, honda, suz, and yama.... Waaaayyy over priced IMO but they are nice about letting you sit on the new bikes!

Very nice bike. I'm new to the Forum too, also in Austin. Got my 06 back in March and I'm loving it (upgraded form a SV650) I can't get enough time on it.
