Thanksgiving Weekend - OC to Solvang - USA - West

Riding up to Solvang to visit the Vintage Motorcycle Museum on Thanksgiving weekend.

Leaving Saturday morning and staying overnight at the Hamlet Inn.

Keep an eye out for a Black 6th gen and a Silver Blackbird. Join in on the ride if you have nowhere else to go.

Temperatures climbing into the mid-70's!!!!

Whats the route up and back lookin like? Also I now ride a 2008 Yamaha FJR and my riding style has been toned down quite a few notches so I am no longer any where near the speed demon I used to be....so whats your riding style?

Hey now that sounds like an interesting proposal.  A bit farther for me as i live in the bayarea.  I was just there a month ago on my swing thru Socal.

Coming out of OC and blasting through LA, we're looking at the 1 and 101.

Change of plans. Leaving Irvine around 5pm today (Friday) to head up to San Luis Obispo for dinner and an overnight. Saturday morning riding early into Monterey and staying half a day for lunch and to visit the Aquarium. Saturday night back down to Solvang. Sunday lunch at Andersen's and visiting the vintage museum then Angeles Crest back to OC.

Northerly ride will be spent mostly on the coast so hope to catch some of you out on the roads!

You'll be in my neighborhood in Monterey on Saturday, I can meet up with your group there.  What time and location?  PM me with the details.

Solomoto: Sorry I missed your post. I don't have a smartphone so I don't check anything when I'm on the road. =( We stayed on Cannery row at the Monterey Bay Inn Saturday night. Got in town by 2pm and had a stroll around the aquarium before dinner at Crystal Fish. We'll be back for Laguna Seca in July. Maybe meet up then!!

VietHorse: Oh, I have plenty of photos coming. Massive blog update coming in a couple of hours including shot of PCH, Lucia, Big Sur, Monterey, and a broken suspension link on the 405 freeway in Los Angeles which resulted in a total shut down of all 5 lanes of traffic. Yeah, that was ME.

OK, no problem.  I got there about 1pm, parked on Cannery Row.  Walked up and down the street and ate lunch at BubbaGump, then left by about 3pm or so.  Maybe next time.
