Can I turn the bottom mount on a 929 shock 90 degrees without screwing up the internal valving or adjustments?
Thanks

Yes. You can rotate it by any angle.

How does the bottom adjuster work to vary the damping? Also where would a good place be to start regarding settings?
Turns out from closed?
Thanks,

There is a rod that goes up the center of the piston shaft to the valving piston inside. The end of the rod is tapered to make a needle/seat arrangement.

Settings...... on a stock shock I'd start at 2 turns out and adjust from there. Feel free to play around to find something you like.
