Weather looks fine for all those days. Come on guys, this time to wake up!!!
#5
lol.  weather forecasting tools have not been made available to accurate predict weather conditions a month in advance.  But thanks for the enthusiasm!

Though Daytona Bike week would be held from 9th to 18th March. Anyone goes?
#7
Yes, still around Shayne. Would be great to do this ride, but I'm suppose to do a ride with some friends to Death Valley that weekend! Let me know if you do a check ride, maybe the weekend before? I could make that for sure! If not, you'll have fun, and I'll catch up with yas for the next one.

Sorry Allyn, only weekend I'm free until mid-May...
I'll catch ya next time
#9
As long as it doesn't turn into a road race, I'd be interested.

sorry folks, just got back from running a recon lap.  The roads are crap right now.  Full of cinders, sand, and water/ice.  Not worth the risk.  Bummer.  Last weekend free until May...

back to hibernation I go...

I hate to say "I told you so", but those roads will be crap until it's a sure thing the snow is gone. Caltrans will be a little slow to sweep because the budget is short. A better bet is the lower coastal range canyons, but they may have dirt run-off.

Big Tujunga, Little Tujunga, Angeles Forest and the lower elevation stuff is all good.
Looking even better after picking up 2 tickets in 2 months on Mulholland Hwy.
Anywhere but Malibu or Mulholland.

Never do Mullholland on a weekend. If you go up on a Monday or Tuesday, you'd have it all to yourself.
I used to go up to the canyons after work when I was at Point Mugu.

yeah, figures.  I'm gonna hit ACH either this saturday afternoon or in two weeks on a sunday morning.  My schedule from now till May is pretty much full... road was looking just fine up until I spied with my little eye some stupid snow on the sides of the road.  Should've seen what was coming next around the first big corner... nothing but dirt, sand, cinders, gravel, and stuff all over the road... crept to the top at just over 20mph...

Give it another month.
