Looking for prize donations, Tmac 2012

Last years TexasMac Awards Banquet/Dinner was a smashing success and a lot of that is due to many individuals and a few companies like Motorcycleparts.com donating a bunch of goodies to the cause. We had so much stuff I think just about everyone won something.

Also someone else started the thread asking for the goodies last year(Ken or Rob?) Thanks again!!!

This time I'm asking for donations!
If you have something nice laying around like a set of gloves, levers,whatever that you can spare and want to bring or send me please let me know.

Feel free to post up here that you're sending something - but don't let it slip what it is - its a secret!

I meant to start this thread earlier, but life kinda got in the way.  So - hopefully better late than never, and in an effort to try to take some of the planning off Kevin's back - I volunteered to try to orchestrate this portion of the event.  Additionally - I'm hoping that we'll have a couple of brilliant "MC's" in Keith (Cornercarver) and Timmy.   Slammer, Baileyrock and myself will surely be carefully critiquing the performance!!

So - if you have any swag that you can borrow permanently from the company store - Golf shirts, tshirts, belts (for Timmy), hats, books, bottles of scotch - whiskey-beer, knives, tank bags, throttle locks, cigars, DVD's, tires, brakes, etc...  just go ahead and let me know - and either bring the items or send them on to the Microtel addressed to:
"Kanadian Ken (WITH VFRD GROUP BOOKING) - May 17th Arrival".  The Motel will hold it all for us ahead of time.

I picked up about a dozen prizes this weekend.  I hit up a bunch of my industry friends at a trade show - lets just say they had less product to repack at the end of the show than what they came with !!

I'll keep adding items to the prize chest and I hope others do the same as well.

I was just at a Trade show, and I didn't think to grab a bunch of SWAG, shoot!  I'll just have to hit up the company store.

I have a couple of boxes packed and addressed, just need to go to the post office.

I don't have exact quantity numbers - Baileyrock has some info that I don't.  My guess is right now we have about 18 prizes.

Short version - we could still use some more..........

As I get older my memory fades but I have 2 boxes being sent and have at least 8 things in all. All wearables are in the XL / XXL sizes. which always seems to be in short supply.

I'm bringing a whole pile of stuff!!  It will be sold, door prizes, or given away!  I want it out of my house!

One is something coveted and only available when someone on this site chooses to make it..

Trace was the one who pulled that off last year and has contacted them again for us this year!

I discussed donating an "almost new" Swingarm Lift Repair Stand with BR and Jeeping it up there....."but".....I bought a Motard, and back to using it....."SORRY"... :sad:

New Enough/MotorcycleGear.com has again stepped up.  In fact, the box of goodies (20 lbs!) has already been sent and will be at the Microtel long before we get there, C/O Kevin..  I was really thrilled about what they kicked in last year with merely a phonecall on my part...not withstanding the fact that I'm a good customer! :rolleyes:

Just a note of thanks to all that donated to our prize table for the Saturday night shenanigans!  It was a fun session - as all things at TMAC usually are, and lots of folks walked out with some pretty cool stuff.

Start gathering items for next year, I'm betting the attendance will be even higher than this year!
