Today I installed 06 clear globes on the front of my 04 and installed LED Swithbacks from Auto Illumination. White/Amber combo. I want to do the same for the rear blinkers as well. I am going with the red/amber LED switchback. However the rear blinkers don't act as markers. The middle wire is missing from the connector. Anyone know of a mod besides this one http://www.murphysmo...R/#Turn_Signals ? I'd like one with pictures and better step by step instructions.
I wanted them to be a brake light for more braking indication. I used a universal trailer light converter avabile from just about anywhere. I wired it up using inputs from the taillight, when this was done, it had a weird effect. When I am braking and using a turn signal, it flashes fast. If I am not braking and using a turn signal, it flashes normal. I haven't cared to much about this, I still have 4 bulbs lighting up when I brake. There is a motorcycle specific product, Priority Lites I think, that would do just like I did, but hopefully without the signal flash issue.
As for making them running lights, the mod you suggested would work, but I would look at a wiring diagram to see if it could be simplified.

Yeah that would be even better, having everything light up when braking. I'll just bite the bullet and go for it tomorrow. It's simple and straight forward but I'm a picture person. I need reference!
