Lots of you are traveling a long way for a 2 day event. Why? Are you that thrilled to return to your family and jobs? I didn't think so.
So, as I and the rest of my Florida gang and some locals have done for most TMACs and the Trace Fall Meets, we ride on Sunday (when the rest of you poor slobs are slabbing home, waiting for next year), have our own party on Sunday night, and take a happy journey home on Monday.
So why don't you think about that? Someday, when they're closing that lid over you and your life is done, you'll wish you took just one more day riding the Franklin area.
I'll be leading BR's famous and favorite "NC--SC--North Georgia--Tenesseee--NC ride on Sunday. Or, I may defer to the usual locals who are better than me. They know who they are. Doug. Matt. Ben. The Brians. Earthshake Bill. Etc.
So....please consider just one more day in motorcycle paradise.

No reason that I can't. If the weather is nice and I haven't had my fill I'm there (and there is a room). I've got 7 days before I have to be back at work. I'm on a 14 day walk-about. :smile:

I'd like too but have to be back to work for Tuesday so I'm hitting the road Sunday morning. Maybe next year.
Not staying Monday, but am coming is Wednesday for the first time! :rolleyes:

This sounds very much like my shpiel to my wife every time I want to do something interesting. Wish I didn't have to do that :rolleyes:
I'll be there Wednesday night. Planned on less traffic during the week that way. Who wants to lead an intermediate group on Thursday? I'll ride sweep.

Looks like we have a few Sunday riders...and a few Wednesday riders, too. Wait....which Wednesday are you guys talking about??!!!! :tongue:
As for rooms, you can be damn sure that the Franklin Microtel won't be looking to kick us out on Sunday morning...unless something goes terribly wrong during the BBQ dinner! :goofy:
Matt, KPer, MBill, DDO...and probably Earthshake....we'll figure it out. I'll have my 3 Florida K-bikers with me, so we might end up with two groups, etc. All good, AND we ain't workin' on Monday! :fing02:
And then you should ride back up on the 26th and stay until June 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing beats A FULL WEEK in North Carolina!!!!

KanadianKen and I get there Friday night May 11. Will be at cabin then move to the Microtel on the Thursday. Have to head back on Sunday but at least hopefully get 6-7 days of good riding in.
Wednesday before TMAC for me. Now that I think about it, I will probably be making a roundabout ride from Winston Salem to Franklin that day, so won't be available for a ride.
I was initially planning on coming to TMac on Friday and staying till Sunday but my wife rescheduled my son's previously cancelled birthday party for Saturday the 19th so this no longer works for me. I'll probably shoot up there Sunday morning and and stay until Monday afternoon which I already have scheduled off. Anyone know of any good parties Sunday night?

Yeah, the parking lot at the Microtel, just like Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights!
You'll have to keep me posted with the route you plan to take. I could meet you somewhere up in North Georgia on my way up and am familiar with most of the good roads.

Impossible to say. I have a favored NGeo route that BR taught me (some of which I already knew) that swings up to Tellico, back to R'ville, 143 to 28 to Franklin. But....who knows what Sunday morning's ride preferrences will be? And I won't be on VFRD while at TMAC! :laugh:
