Not that she ever had trouble keepin up with the Versys we went ahead and picked up a new 2012 Tiger 800 "Roadie" today. In spite of the "adventure" rubber the bike handles pretty well. People that have ridden with The Girl will attest to her competence as a decently quick sportbike rider and I thought she deserved a little more bike than the Versys for those grueling (read fun) 500 mile days.

Whadda Ya think Switchblade, you ready for The Girl on a Venom Yellow Tiger 800?

If she passes me at the Dragon it's on.

The Tiger is quicker than the Versys for sure but it is not as fast as I thought from last years demo ride in Fl. Probably becase of the Arrow and tune of the demo model. We will see how she does with it. The most significant upgrades are the smoothness and ride with power a secondary consideration. The handling may be a wash. We are shooting over to Deals Gap for lunch tomorrow so we will see how it does in the tight stuff.

I always have at least two bike and teh Girl always has one so yeah, we have three. I traded the Tmax on the Tiger. I will miss that Scoot, it was a riot.

Missed some great riding weather Dave but you would not have liked that Versys passing you on the outside;). Got a great Killboy shot of me grinding the pegs on the new Tiger and some great Versys shots. If I had to win a race on the Dragon with one of my bikes it would be that Versys. It's magic on the dragon. You can brake after the Apex for cying out loud. The Tiger is just as light and more powerful but not as nimble or secure as the Kawi.

Cant find your pix's on KILLBOY. Are you going to do a group ride on Sat. for TMAC ?

Looks like green instead of yellow.
#14
Yes it does. In direct sunlight it looks yellow but in darker settings it looks more green. Nice weather report today. We skipped the ride to Franklin because it was raining at 6:30, with small hail at the house. Adjusted the valves on the Versys, none out of adjustment at 20K, Nice, and watched the day turn from cloudy to perfect...sure would have been good to wait for an actual rainy day.

Heading out tomorrow early, should be at the gap around 8ish if you want to run down to Franklin with me to send off the Orlando group. 2 hour round trip form the gap and an awesome ride.

Mite do it painted my extra set of wheels today.

Will be packing my suitcase today, checking if all fits in and stays within Delta's rules.....

So what you think of the Tiger Switchblade? It hung with the VFR pretty well until we got on your home track and then i really had to grind the pegs to keep up with you and then the re....motards. It was a good run and the bike was much more comfortable than I thought it would be. Good times
