A Harley that was washed off to sea when the tsunami hit Japan showed up on a beach in BC.

I always knew that harleys were full of hot air.
Seriously though, other than the fact that it was a huge tragedy, I am totally baffled by the fact that a hunk of iron spent a year in the ocean, drifting about 5K miles and didn't sink.
P.S.
I'm sure that they will 'restore' it for the guy. Heck, I'd like to pitch in too. But it will probably be a brand new bike then. Not much will be salvageable after a year in salt water.
The title is not correct. Harley doesn't make boats, they make anchors!!!!!
And apparently they suck at that also!!!!
Actually it was in a container that did the floating.
