Any naughty little Atlanta monkeys feel like going on an early morning ride this weekend? Doesn't matter whether it's Saturday or Sunday but I want to be on the road early (before 8am) so we don't have to deal with traffic. There will most certainly be passing on double yellow and lots of peg scraping so if you are still getting to know your VFR or have any chicken strips on your tires please don't bother replying. Route still not determined but will be doing between 250 and 300 miles. I might even buy you lunch if you don't wreck like the last couple of people I have ridden with.
No can do on Saturday. I'll have to check on weather for Sunday. Trust me, you don't want me around if it's wet!
I got no issues leaving early. Those "other" Carvers on the other hand...
Well I've decided to take the kids to the zoo on Saturday and go riding on Sunday instead since there will be less traffic. Let me know if you are interested and we'll make some plans. Weather is supposed to be ok but we know that could change.
when and where on Sunday?...i think MiniCarver is working Sunday so we may still go out tomorrow but we may go down to Pine Mtn and meet a guy from Columbus who is selling some VFR stuff...
The earlier the better for me. Ideally between 7:30 - 8am. Meetup would really depend on where we wanted to ride. Exit 13 off 400 is a good general starting point for North GA and I have lots of good routes. Have either of you ridden to Little River Canyon / Desoto Falls near Fort Payne in Northeast Alabama?
Sorry for the late reply but I'm pretty sure we are gonna hit a loop through Alabama to check out some new roads so we won't be up that way. If plans change we'll let you know and we can possibly meet up in the late morning.
Kevin, glad you made it back ok with your bald and patched tire. Cloudland Canyon and DeSoto State Park were cool but it was a long day getting there and back and there were plenty of boring long stretches of roads along the way. I'm glad I got to check it out finally and will probably go back to hike there one day. Riding North Georgia / TN / NC has really spoiled us.

I like to find some new roads now and again, but it truly is hard to beat my favorite loop in those three states! I'll pack my plug kit and pump, and on my new PR3 we'll hit 60-68-C'hala next time! :tour:
