do different intercom systems talk to eachother? - Electronics

I have and love the Sena's, although my brother has his heart set on the Chatterbox system. Anyone know if the two different systems can be paired together? Half of me thinks yay, the other half "of course not, silly."

When I posed that question to Shark (helmets), they said their SharkTooth would not talk to a Sena unit

I've also wondered same. I'd think that the comm protocol would be standard. But does not seem to be the case. Only suggestion I would have is to pose the specific compatibility to both companies support line on their website.

My bud rides with a Scala and I'm sort of heaed in the direction of buying that brand. But I'd prefer to buy a unit that is not so "closed" or limited.

Wish it would buy it doesn't :( hope fully some one can come up with a "break" for it
