I made a spur-of-the-moment camera mount on my VTEC for the Contour Roam camera I received last Christmas. I drilled a hole in the left passenger peg and bolted the camera underneath, with a piece of hard rubber sandwiched between the two to protect the camera.
I also taped a piece of microfiber towel over the microphone, seems to have worked well until the tape let go on the way back.
Don't try this at home - I did this 5 min ride in my neighborhood in shorts and a t shirt, was going to slip on the Birkenstocks for extra Carver factor but decided against it last minute. (I don't really own any Birkenstocks!) lol
Available in 720p, turn the HD on!
Flame away!!
Don't ride like this! (I made a squid vid)

Wow that looks great....I would not drag a foot peg with your camera in pace.
Dang nogatt squid.
Footpeg feelers spoil the view. :goofy:

Its gotta be less offensive than my test video where I was wearing my saddle shoes.
I hung a camera off the rear peg bracket several years ago and the sparks ruined the lens. Before you do some serious riding, make sure your mount is high enough that the sparks don't hit the lens.

Next is the butt cam! Gotta find a few rose joints and then drill my passenger grab handles to attach the makeshift tripod.
That's a nice angle Seb. Got any pic's of the mount?

I wouldn't really call it a mount. I drilled a 1/4" hole in the passenger peg, and used 2 1/4-20 nuts and a 1/4-20 carriage bolt to secure the camera against a piece of hard 1/4" rubber and the peg. "At hand" engineering, as Timmy would say.
You can see the mount in the sahdow around the 3:40 mark. I like the view point, instead of contacting Adidas about a sponsorship of their adiprene shoes maybe you could sell some adtime for Sidi or AStar...a dime back for every video viewing?
And everyone knows that Carvers dont wear Birkenstocks or hemp shorts...we rol with leatehr flip flops that fit in your tank bag.

The difference being that Birkenstocks don't have "thongs"?
I like your sponsorship idea... I'll look into it! :goofy:
