Dear all,
Yeap, it is my 2012 VFR 1200 DCT. It has been accomplished only a couple of weeks ago with a number of add on, in particular:
Öhlins FGRT front fork
Öhlins TTX36 shock
Precision bearings in the steering head, the swing arm and the TTX brackets (
www.emilschwarz.de)
ABM MultiClip steering bar ends (
http://www.ab-m.de/e...ducts/multiclip)
PCV
Acrapovic muffler together with a hand made exhaust pipe system by Herbert Kainzinger (
http://vfr-1200-tuning.de)
K&N air filter
OEM Heated grips
Sargent seat with heating (picture was done before mounting the Öhlins TTX shock)
Geelong Carbon rear hugger (I had reported on this earlier:
http://www.vfrdiscus...r-vfr-1200-dct/)
Bridgestone Battlax S20 (for me the best tires I ever had, a huge temperature window, starting to work close to zero degree Celsius, and just fantastic in wet conditions) with 90 degree bent metal valves
The result is just phenomenal! Last week I had two track days on the Nürburgring Nordschleife (the 20.8 km long old racing track), doing all over 850 km on the track. I was with a group of 5, the others driving R6, R1, S1000RR and ZX10R and I was able to keep the pace, even though I was strictly staying in the automatic mode "S" all the time.
It was just amazing for them as for me to observe that this was possible with such a big and heavy machine, and, on top of all, with an automatic gear box. Apart from the still tremendous weight, the bike is now just perfect for me, a great piece of machinery!
BTW: The fuel economy was astounding, too. I have only burnt 8 liters for 100 km average during both track days.
Cheers
Markus
