On my third VFR,4th,5th and now 6th Gen.The VTEC motor is great but for me has lost the linear powerband that all previous gens had.2-9K  was like budda, but the middle weight characteristics of the VTEC make it,,,,different.Brakes, frame, handling, suspension, all great, but miss the soul'n' sound of my gear driven babies.
I do my own maintenance so it wont be a problem with the Duc and less complicated than doin the valve service on a VTEC(ya I know some will say it's not necessary).Check valves, and belts every 2 seasons and and oil and should be good to go.
Maybe go back to a 5 Gen some day ,but the VTEC may be up for sale .

Why Honda never realized that the best suspension and brakes is half what a great bike makes.....had always been frustrating when you won a VFR.......Imagine how much better they could have been...

Yup,always wanted them to offer  a up-rated suspension R-type model for the VFR,or any other Honda for that matter.Ohlins,CF,"Race" exhaust. But we all know thet they are in bed with Showa so that will never happen.

Thanks John.996 Superbike motor in a comfy chassis with stock bags, adjustable bars, and accessory power outlet out of the box.Power and torque from 2K up but likes to run in the upper mid range to show off it's ponies.Has an open airbox and cans and sounds awesome but not obnoxious,....
