I have one...never wear it.  Big, heavy and the shield leaks in the rain...FWIW

That's odd, I've had the complete opposite experience.
My previous helmets have been an Arai RX-7 Corsair and an Arai Quantum II.
I've found the Scorpion to be much quieter as well as lighter.
I've not had any issues with leaking, either.

Well you can go to webbikeworld.com and find the exact weight in grams of all your helmets.  My RF-1000 is way lighter and I don't feel like I'm wearing a size XL balloon my medium melon.  YMMV obviously.  Just my experience with that helmet.  I think Scorpion uses only three shell sizes to keep their prices down.  FWIW I like my exo-400 and exo-700 just fine except for the shell size being big.

I might jump on this.....might as well try it for the price.  Been wanting a helmet with an inside visor for a while anyway.  How do sizes run compared to other helmets?  Like does an xl fit like most other xl helmets or does it run a little tight on the exo1000?

I tried some Scorpions on at a dealer a few weeks back and found myself leaning toward a size larger than I normally wear.  That's true for some reviews I've read from other buyers as well.  I just picked up an EXO-700 in an XL when I would have normally gotten a L.  It fits great.  So I would say they run small.
