As suggested we’re starting a new thread to firm up details for a ride up to Quincy. We’re settling on Saturday September 22nd.

General Route and Timing:
We don’t have to stick to a time clock and we can change routes on the fly. I’m just offering this info so folks can gauge the distance and duration between major stops. We’ll stop as frequent and as long as folks want. And as for pace I assume we’ll just let folks ride their own.
10:45-11:00am – Oroville (Arrival and Depart)
11:00 – 1:00pm – Oroville to Quincy via Hwy 162 – 65 mi
Lunch and Fuel in Quincy
2:00 – 3:30pm – Quincy to Downieville via Hwy 89, 49 and Gold Lake Road – 60 mi
3:30 – 5:15pm – Downieville to Colfax to Auburn via Hwy 49 and 174 – 75 mi
5:15 – 5:45pm – Auburn to Sacramento via I-80 – 35 mi
5:45 – 6:30pm – Sacramento to Fairfield via I-80 – 45mi

Arrival:
Everyone should be arriving from Highway 70 North. Exit at Highway 162 and head EAST. I think it will be on the left side about 3/4's of a mile from Hwy 70 – a little blue roofed drive thru coffee place. Services on Hwy 162 look rather sparse. I picked this place off Mapquest because 1) they have coffee, and 2) they have a parking lot to meet and greet. If anyone has a better idea – speak up.
Fuel:
I searched for some gas stations in Oroville and on our route there was not much to choose from. There are gas stations but if you’re picky about the brand of fuel you use, you may be disappointed.
An option is fuel up in Marysville as you come north on Hwy 70. There are several spots there that are very convenient. That will provide plenty of range to get to Quincy which is about 100 miles away.
We'll top off in Quincy after getting something to eat.
Auburn would also be a logical gas stop that would put most folks in range of getting home.
I think that’s most of what we need. I'll PM confirmed riders with my mobile phone# as we get closer to ride day. Chime in with any other ideas or questions.
