Could one of you please post up the distance between the vairious colored areas? ie how wide is the the pinstripe and what is the distance to the red/blue?
Michael admits he likes to be very "precise" :tour:
Why are Dutchmen so serious on that? I was doing without using such accuracy measurement.
Just use some photos from net and mark up like this, Vietnamese's way:
Can someone please hold a tape measure (we can convert inches to cm) next to the paint sections and take some pictures?
so that we can see the correct spacings?
Of course, he could buy new 2007 replacement plastic and a tank from a USA supplier...that's as original as you can get. He could sell his current plastics and tank to help offset the cost, plus he'd save the cost of expensive automotive paint.
BTW, the frame and wheels are black on the 2007 if you want it to look original, but I like the naked aluminum frame and white or silver wheels better. VietHorse's bike looks nice and has a nicer and brighter looking red than the real 2007 color, IMHO.
I'm in WA and my bike is in AZ but we are flying back this week to ride them to our new home in WA. If he can wait till the end of next week I'll be more than happy to help.

bij voorbaat dank!
I just send you three message with photos showing the color layout. Let me know what questions you have and I can answer them over the weekend.
@ “Dutchy” Thank you very much for your assistance and starting this topic! :fing02:
@ “tbzep” If the original plastic cowls and fuel tank from Honda can be ordered in 25th anniversary edition colors it’s definitely worth looking into. Unfortunately it is my impression that there’s not a very large demand for used cowls and fuel tanks to help offset the cost.
Does anybody know if the OEM cowls are delivered in original (two tone) colors or just in basecoat primer?
@ “DT1” Thanks for the pictures, they really help a lot!!! Can you also make similar pictures from the lower part of the side cowls with the dimension of the blue and the spacings between the red stripe and the blue and the top of the red stripe and the air vent? I will be travelling until the middle of october, but I will definitely contact you if I have more more questions.
@ "crazybrother" Thanks for your help!!!
@ "rescue13" Thanks for your help!!! I appreciate all the help and pics you can offer. I'm planning the project for coming winter or spring, so I have time.
@ "VietHorse" Thanks for your help!!! Nice job on your bike!

Captain - yes, I will shoot those photos this weekend and put them in a message to you.
You can order all the OEM parts already painted/stickered the red stripes are stickers on some parts(lower cowl) . As soon as I get back from AZ I can get you pics and info. Lower cowl about $404 aside, upper cowl $392, tank $597 all OEM..... I would just paint. :D
I'm a little late to the game, but been busy at work and haven't logged on in a bit. If you still need something specific, let me know and I should be able to help you out as far as pictures and/or measurements.
I'm waaay late seeing this thread but my bike is here and can take measurments if you still need them. I have a better excuse than Bryan217 tho. He was working but I was gone riding.... for the last 5 days.
I’m very excited with all the offers to help me out on this project! For the next couple of weeks I will have very limited access to internet whilst underway from Finland to USA. Hopefully I will be in Philadelphia around 11th October and fly back home to the Netherlands after a couple of days.
When I get home I will sort out all the information and pictures received so far and contact the people who offered their help for any additional pictures and measurements for my project. In the meantime all help with information and pictures is very much appreciated!!! :cheerleader:
