Rally around the Pits OCT 14, 2012

This is a shameless plug for a charity I help with occasionally.

We're taking over the Biker Shak on Rte. 66 in Arcadia, Oklahoma. This is happening October 14th starting around 11:00am.

The Rally is to benefit Pit Bull Rescue, Oklahoma. The idea is to bring motocyclists and dogs together for a good cause. There will be vendors on site for moto and dog related stuff, as well as the "Concourse de Garbage", surely not something to miss. Everyone likes turd bikes right?

Last year we had a great turnout from the local Triumph guys. Lots of classic bikes on display. There should be a decent number of bikes out to look at, all makes, years and models. I would LOVE to see some V-4's show up!

I won't tell you this is some BIG rally, it's not. It's myself and some friends trying to make a bit of a difference in a small way. Well behaved and leashed dogs will be welcome.

So, if you're in the neighborhood, stop on by and say "Hi."

Here's some information on the "Concourse de Garbage".

While all the crème rises to the top, the dregs sink to the bottom. We are looking for your dregs.

We appreciate motorcycles for what they are - transportation to get us where we need to go. It may not be the prettiest or run perfectly, but it is your bike and you are proud of it. We have a contest to celebrate your not so perfect bike.


RULES:

All motorcycles will be accepted any make, model, year, running or not. Heck, we do not even care if it can stand up.

All participants must be thick skinned and have a good sense of humor.

Judging will be arbitrary and unpredictable, just like these rules.

Our judges are crooked and cannot be trusted, so bribes will be accepted and encouraged. All bribes will be donated to Pit Bull Rescue Oklahoma, so bribes of dog food or cash will carry the most weight with our judges.

Trophies will be awarded to all the winners.

We did last year at Seaba... they got all out of sorts about having dogs on the premises... who knew?
