Well after waiting for 3 weeks for my Helibars I've had them on for a couple with plenty of riding and they just don't work for me.
Really want to like them but I must be in the 1% of users that they won't work for. Their quality is great, they were easy to put on and I really like what they do for the seating position/posture but I don't mesh with the angle of the bar tips to the ground. I tried all of the variable positions to remedy. I'm going to have to send them back.
If any of you members around the GTA were thinking of picking some up, then I'll save you the time, Duty costs, and shipping plus you can see try what they're like mounted to our bikes. Just PM me. I plan to take them off and return them before the deadline next week.
We must be built similarly. Mine lasted one trip to the Catskills and they came off for good. You don't happen to be in the beaches do you? I've seen a 7th gen rolling around.

If its a red 2010 it may be me. I ride along Queen to get bread at Cobs on Queen in the Beaches. My wife has Heli bars on her 2012 VFR and really likes them. I did not care for the position and left mine stock.

I just instaled mine last week and I live in Pickering, by the way I know some peoplle like to have the bars raised even more , but for me this is the perfect arrangement.
I may look for Convertibars on sale at the bike show in Dallas next month. They seem to offer that downward grip angle adjustability I now want, and I pretty much know now where the best placement of the other dimensions to retain the stock lines...

I also had the Heli bars and they did not do it for me. I have used the Converti bars on both of my Ducatis and they work great. I just install them today and they are perfect for me.
they have far more options forr position than anything out there and the quality is great. As reference I was able to get the bars 1' higher and 1" closer over what HeliBars offers.
the best part is the you can then change the angle of the grip bars to suit your taste. the cables are a bit fiddly to get in the right postion. I thought I was going to have to order a new front brake cable
but the cable goes to a junction box that is screwed to the side of the frame. I have made a bracket that allow me to move the junction box forward by about 1.5" and it gives just enough slack to work.
haven't taken any photos yet but i can if needed.
