Yamaha Champions Riding School - Riding Technique

The annual Motorcycle Show returned to Atlanta this year after being in Greenville and Charlotte the past couple of years and it was earlier in the calendar than prior years as well.

Nick Ienastch, Ken Hill and Scott Russel spoke on the stage and gave a few freebies/takeaways as riding tips.

It was intrigued as I had previously signed up for Freddie Spencer's School in Vegas and had to cancel due to a work conflict. I was determined to attend but never found the right time. Then Freddie got a divorce and his lifestyle changed quite a bit.

Well, the staff from Freddie Spencer school, plus Scott Russel now comprise the Yamaha Champions Riding School and I inquired of Bryan Samuels from the school about a potential group discount for our forum members.

Bryan suggested that the best way to accomplish this would be a post here on the forum and managing the contacts with me forwarding anyone who may be interested to Bryan via email. Bryan would then answer your questions and see if the school is a fit for you.

So in that vein, here is a thread for you to contact me and express interest in this program. It is not cheap but is much less expensive than replacing the fairings on your VFR and exponentially less expensive than an accident that requires medical treatment. The school is about $1,100 per day and two and three day classes are on the calendar.

Me and my sons are looking at either the October 10-11 dates or September 26-27 dates at Miller Motorsports Park in Salt Lake City. As much as I would love to fill all spots in our school with VFRD members, if you are interested in this program you DO NOT have to select the same dates as we do, you don't even have to select the same track. Bryan is opening up al dates including the winter sessions to be held at Laguna Seca.

Finally, for anyone who rode with Trace in 2006 and then a few years later after he attended the Freddie Spencer school, you know it is worth the investment. Serious difference in the Trace Pace now vs then. :tour:

A $4 coffee 5 days a week for 50 weeks a year is only $1,000.00

$10 for lunch with co-workers 4 days a week is closer to what I have to cut out to make it work. But I know that the experience I gain and that I witness being imparted to my sons will be priceless.

I better start saving for the full Photo Package as well. :laugh:

Bryan said if we get 6-10people it is 10% off for everyone. That almost covers airfare if you buy the tickets more than a month in advance (for me from Atlanta anyway.)
