You might look in Wa and Or, then ride the bike home and import it.

Personally the Salvage history doesn't bother me a bit, every bike I've owned for the last 10 years was a repaired wreck.
With Salvage history it's value will be at least 25% below book value and maybe more if you go to sell it. If it runs and drives good and looks like the guy didn't hack it together I would consider it base on price.
I'm pretty sure bike cost a Lot more up there so if the price is equal to 30-45% below Book I would consider it for sure.
