Hi everyone.  Long time member here, few posts though.  It is time to scrounge some OEM hard cases for the VFR.  It's very hard to find the colour you need to match though.  I know people have painted them, although it can be pricey.  Has anyone tried the car wraps?  Are they capable of a good fit over the contours of the bags?  What about price?  3M makes a wrap in CF which might look good if these can work?  What about Plasti DIp?   A can of this stuff is about 20 bucks in Canuckistan, which seems like it might work?  Anyone tried it?   Thanks.

I've used both, They each have their own difficulties when applying. You'll have more color options with the wraps than plasti dip. When applied correctly with multiple light layers plasti Dip is pretty durable.

Wraps are pretty durable...more so than plastic dip IMO. I'd order enough wrap materials to wrap three bags...use the first time for practice. Once done with the first bag you shoul DC have the hang of it. And some extra if the first looks like crap...

The PD only makes sense if you don't want the color change to be permanent.  And it will only be flat.  I'd spray paint it.  You should be able to color match (or close to) easily enough.
