The part about battery life and charging voltage makes sense.

My 5th gen charges around 14.3v. Battery is 5 years old and still cranks great.

I'll bet if more people read that article there would be a lot fewer "what's wrong with my battery" posts . . . Interesting about unplugging a tender every 60 days or so to let the battery "rest" - never heard of that before.
